Employed as Senior UX Designer/Researcher to enhance the user feedback capabilities of the firm and research requirements for the 20 plus products in the Causeway portfolio.

The Task:
The main product that was worked on was a document management system. With any construction, there are thousands of documents and drawings. These are constantly being updated, up until the section or item is built. How these documents are tracked, checked and distributed was the challenge.

The Process:
Lots and lots of interviews. First was to work with friendly clients who would become development partners. They would help find the end users who would be using the software regardless of where or who they were. From senior management all the way to the person "On the tools", building the item. The need was we needed to 'Baseline' the process across lots of different firms and professions. After several thousand miles of riding my motorbike around the South-east of England talking to users, I had a very good idea of how the system worked and what was needed to build a robust adaptable solution fit for all professions and skill needs. 

The Output:
The production of support material such as persona, workflows and wireframes; illustrating trends and commonalities across different disciplines and developing solutions to meet users various needs.  Along with a deep understanding of the challenges facing the company and the product; a strategic roadmap as to the way the improvement should be archived. In addition, I also noted another potential business opportunity and service to the construction industry.
